Ukrainians are returning home en masse: the flow of entry is breaking records

During the day on April 30, almost 40,000 people arrived in Ukraine across the western borders, about 36,000 of which are Ukrainians. The day before, the figure was 35,000.

According to the State Border Guard Service, on April 30 the flow of entry into Ukraine was the highest since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

At the same time, the number of those who left on April 30 remained the same as the previous day – 38,000 citizens. 23,000 of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest went to Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Moldova.

On the last day of April, more than 380 trucks with humanitarian aid were registered at the Ukrainian borders, the day before – 250.

In total, over 78,000 people and 19,000 vehicles crossed Ukraine’s western borders with the EU and Moldova in one day.

The Polish Border Guard Service reported that since the beginning of the war, more than 3 million people have entered Poland from Ukraine, and 975,000 in the opposite direction.

According to the latest UN data, 5.46 million people have left Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war, including 3.014 million to Poland, 881.19 thousand to Romania and Moldova, 519.98 thousand to Hungary, and 371.92 thousand to Slovakia.
