Relatives of Azovstal fighters are asking Xi Jinping to help with the evacuation
Relatives of Ukrainian fighters, who are currently locked up at the Azovstal plant and unable to leave, have called on the Chinese president to act as a mediator in talks on military extraction.
This is stated in a joint statement of relatives, which was read at a briefing.
Relatives are asking Chinese President Xi Jinping to show great love and care, as well as Eastern wisdom, and join in saving the defenders of Mariupol.
– China knows the history of suffering. China knows the price of independence. China knows what a struggle between two worldviews is. When the opponent does not know about diplomacy, about culture – harmony is destroyed, – it is said in the statement.
Stavr Vyshnyak, the father of the Azov man who defends Mariupol, also addressed his appeal to Xi Jinping.
– Probably the only person you can still turn to. We ask him (Xi Jinping – Ed.) To take the necessary steps to ensure and carry out the extraction procedure. To act as a mediator and a third party and a guarantor of security, – said Vyshnyak.
He stressed that Russia and China have very close economic and political ties. In addition, China has significant influence over Russia and Putin.
Currently, there is less and less time to save the defenders of Azovstal.
– Our soldiers have been to hell, give them the opportunity to enter the earth and see the sun. They deserved it, – said Stavr Vyshnyak.
Hanna Ivleeva, the wife of a Marine defender of Azovstal, said the wounded had no painkillers. Even the wounded are defending their positions and defending their lives.
According to her, there are no healthy fighters left.
– There are people who have already received three wounds, but continue to fight. Only those who do not have limbs and those who simply can not get up are not fighting, – said Hanna Ivleeva.
According to her, Turkey may become the third country where the extraction procedure can take military personnel.
– Today we turn to Xi Jinping, who is Putin’s economic partner. Putin can enter into a dialogue with them. And we ask him to enter into this dialogue and use the “extraction” procedure to take our fighters to a third country, which may be Turkey. Erdogan is not against this extraction, – the fighter’s wife emphasized.
Earlier, Deputy Commander of the Azov Regiment Svyatoslav Palamar said that since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the defenders of Mariupol have destroyed about 6,000 Russian occupiers, enemy tanks and armored vehicles.
Iryna Vereshchuk, Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, said that Ukraine was negotiating with the Russians to evacuate 60 people from the Azovstal plant.
