The first five underground schools will be built in Zaporizhzhia and the region
Ten underground schools are planned to be built in the Zaporizhzhia region. They will become an educational platform for children of several districts of the regional center and several settlements of the region.
This was announced by the head of the Regional Military Administration of the Zaporizhzhia region, Ivan Fedorov, in the Telegram channel.
Underground schools in Zaporizhzhia: what is known
He noted that at first they plan to build five underground schools.
— The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine approved the first projects of the regional team. There are even more projects ahead, and the total amount of subvention from the state is up to UAH 500 million, – Fedorov said.
According to him, the first three schools are planned to be built in Zaporizhzhia, and two – in the Zaporizhzhia district.
Fedorov also announced that this week we will announce the first construction tenders.
As of April 25, 2024, there are 51 mixed education institutions in the region , and 1,400 students are receiving education offline and online.
