Kidnapped, tortured and executed: police report details of Russian atrocities in a village near Kyiv (18+)

Police have already identified Ukrainians whose bodies were found in the basement of a house in the village of Shevchenkove, Brovary district, Kyiv region. These men were first tortured by Russian invaders and then brutally executed.

The Head of the regional police Andriy Niebytov informed about it.

He said that investigative and operational groups continue to “clean up” those settlements that were under the temporary occupation of Russian troops. In the Kyiv region it is almost 180 settlements.

And every day law enforcement officers record the war crimes of the Russian occupiers against the Ukrainians.

Thus, in the village of Shevchenkove, they found a place of mass execution of civilians on the territory of one of the households. The bodies of men aged 40 to 50 with traces of torture and gunshot wounds to the head were found there in the basement.

– The other day in the territory of Brovarsky region, in the village of Shevchenkove, in a private estate in the basement, the bodies of six tortured and shot men were found. We have already identified five people, – said Niebitov.

According to him, none of the men who were tortured by the Russian invaders had anything to do with territorial defense or any military structures. These were civilians.

According to the investigation, one of the men, born in 1980, was a local resident. In mid-March, an acquaintance called him and said that Russian soldiers were mocking two women near the railway line. The man ran there, and no one saw him again, and later his body was found by police in the basement.

In addition, the bodies of two brothers, who were also tortured and shot, were retrieved from the same basement. These were locals.

Another man, whose body was found in the basement, was simply riding a bicycle through the village on the day of his disappearance. The occupiers shot him.

According to Niebitov, the village of Shevchenkove has long been under occupation by Russian troops. It was at this time that Russian invaders abducted locals, tortured them and then shot them.

– All these facts once again confirm that Ukrainians, local residents who were under occupation in Kyiv region, were simply shot with automatic weapons, – he accented.

The Head of the regional police assured that law enforcement officers would clearly document all Russian war crimes, so that later it would be possible not only to bring the perpetrators to justice under Ukrainian law, but also in the International Criminal Court.

Earlier it was reported that on the fact of murder of Ukrainians by the Russian invaders in the village of Shevchenkove criminal proceedings for violation of laws and customs of war (item 438 of the Criminal code of Ukraine) are opened.
