Today, at about seven in the morning, the Russian enemy tried to break through the state border of Ukraine on the territory of the Sumy region.
This was stated by the head of the Sumy RMA, Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.
According to him, the enemy opened fire on the border area of the Shostka region from mortars, grenade launchers, machine guns, and machine guns.
Under the massive fire, sabotage and reconnaissance groups tried to enter the territory of the Sumy region. However, our border guards gave battle to the Russians, and they were forced to retreat beyond the state borderline.
The State Border Service reported that the enemy fired from the area of the Russian village of Lokot.
On the night of May 14-15, the Russian military fired twice at the Sumy region. The invaders launched a missile strike from the territory of the Russian Federation on the outskirts of one of the settlements of the Sadovskaya community.
On May 12, Russian troops shelled the village of Novi Vyrky in the Sumy region.
