Storm of Severodonetsk and shelling of the entire Kherson region: the situation in the areas on May 22
Tonight, May 22, around 2:00 a.m., there were three “arrivals” of enemy missiles at a village near Zaporizhzhya. The consequences of the strike are being clarified. In Kharkiv, there were also sporadic rocket attacks during the night – no casualties.
In the Kharkiv region, eight people were injured as a result of the shelling, including five in Kharkiv city, one person in Lozovsky district, and one person each in Shevchenkovo settlement and Chuguevsky district.
In the Luhansk region, the situation remains tense – one person died, and two were injured.
The occupiers stormed Severodonetsk from four sides at once but were repulsed and withdrew to their previous positions. The enemy is constantly shelling residential areas of the city.
Seven houses were damaged in Severodonetsk during the day. Houses were also damaged in Lysychansk, Toshkovka, Nyrkove, Vrubovka, Gorske, Zolote, and Privolie. Between Severodonetsk and Lysychansk, a span of a bridge near the railway station was destroyed.
Sixteen shelling of 11 settlements were recorded in the Donetsk region during the day. The Russian occupiers fired small arms, tanks, artillery, mortars, and airstrikes.
There was an increase in the intensity of shelling near the towns of Soledar, Sviatogorsk, Bakhmut, Avdeevka, Mykolaivka, and Toretsk. Fighting continues near Liman and Raigorodka. During the day in the region – 7 people were killed and 10 wounded.
In the Mykolaiv region at night, the enemy shelled the Shirokovska community; three houses burned down there, with no casualties.
Shelling continues steadily in the Bereznevatskaya community. There is still no information about casualties or damage. Also, Mykolaiv was subjected to shelling during the night – unfortunately, five victims.
The situation in the Kherson region is steadily difficult: explosions and shelling were recorded in all districts last night. The information from the residents of the communities about the mining of bridges and roads by which the local population is trying to enter the territory controlled by Ukraine is confirmed.
In the settlements of Vysokopolskaya, Stanislavskaya, Kalinovskaya, Novovorontsovskaya, and Velikoalexandrovskaya communities bordering the neighboring regions and located on the front line, water, electricity, and gas are missing.
The night was relatively quiet in Volyn, Zakarpattya, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk, Ternopil, Lviv, Khmelnytskyi regions, also in Zhytomyr, Kirovograd, Cherkasy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.
