In Desna, Chernihiv region, 87 victims of enemy fire were found under the rubble
President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said that 87 people had been found dead under the rubble in the village of Desna in the Chernihiv region.
The head of state said this in his speech to the participants of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
– Today, we finished work in Desna. Unfortunately, 87 victims were found under the rubble. 87 killed, – said Zelenskyi.
The President emphasized that the war could be repeated, and that is why it is very important to take care of security in the future.
– Our task is to make the most modern air defense system, the most modern multisystem of security. Our goal is to have a security agreement with other countries that we trust. It should be ratified in the parliaments of strategic partner countries so that any plans of the aggressor to invade Ukraine cease even before entering our land, – said the head of state.
We remind that the enemy caused a fire on Desna on Tuesday, May 17. The occupiers launched four missiles, two of which hit the building.
