The occupiers captured the city of Svitlodarsk in the Donetsk region and hoisted the flag of the Russian Federation

Russian occupiers captured the city of Svitlodarsk, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. Representatives of Ukraine and the headquarters of the quasi-formation of the DNR report that the city is under Russian occupation.
The head of the Svitlodar military administration, Serhii Hoshko, said that Russians entered the city on Tuesday, May 24, in the morning.
– They are currently hanging out their rag on the administration building, – he added.
According to him, armed occupiers are already walking the streets, checking the documents of residents.
– The local population I communicate with says that they do not see a significant presence. There are certain groups of 5 people each, – says the head of the Svitlodar administration.
The self-proclaimed DNR also reports that it has taken control of Svitlodarsk. The Russian troops and DNR militants entered the city.
Another city in the Donetsk region – Marinka – the Russian Federation turns into a ruin. The occupiers are attacking the city, in particular, with phosphorous bombs and cluster shells. Today, there are about 3,000 locals left in the 20,000-strong Marinka. People live in basements and shelters.
