Explosions are heard in Kharkiv: residents are urged to stay in shelters
Explosions can be heard on the territory of Kharkiv. Residents are urged to hide in shelters and bomb shelters for their own safety.
According to the latest data, an air alarm started in Kharkiv region at 8:52 p.m. The continuous shelling of Kharkiv has been going on for more than half an hour, and citizens are reporting explosions in the north and east of the city.
The head of the Kharkiv regional military administration Oleh Sinegubov said that the Russian occupiers are again shelling residential areas of the regional center. Eyewitnesses report that rockets were launched from Belgorod, Russia.
According to the latest data, today 30.1% of the region’s territory is under temporary occupation. Occupied 21 territorial communities of the region out of 56 – the north of the region, the north-eastern direction (Vovchansky), the eastern (Kupyansky) and Izyum direction.
It is estimated that between 15,000 and 20,000 Ukrainian civilians remain in each of these areas.
According to him, Russian mercenaries want to put rubles into circulation in the Vovchansky and Kupyansky directions. The occupiers are trying to bribe locals, but Ukrainians refuse to cooperate with the aggressor.
