An explosion in Chortkov injured 22 people and partially destroyed a military facility
As a result of the explosion in Chortkiv, 22 people were injured, including children. A military facility and four houses were also partially destroyed. A total of four arrivals were recorded; all rockets flew out of the Black Sea.
According to the Ternopil Defense Council, specialists are now working to eliminate the destruction and fix the damaged property of civilians.
– Pyrotechnicians, the State Emergency Service, the National Police, the Security Service, and local authorities worked all night to eliminate the consequences of the rocket attacks. The gas supply to the city of Chortkiv was cut off. This is important because one of the rocket impacts hit a gas pipe, where there was a gas leak and a fire, so it was turned off very quickly,” said Volodymyr Trush, head of Ternopil RMA.
The Defense Council of the Ternopil region promised that today they will carry out repairs to restore the gas supply.
Among the victims, there are a 12-year-old child and seven women. Their condition is currently stable and the victims have received the necessary medical care. Some of them are still in hospital, but some people are already at home.
On the evening of June 11, explosions were heard in Chortkiv, followed by a fire. Local residents are urged not to take pictures, distribute videos or photos or comment on the aftermath of the explosions on social networks.
