A mother was killed and a 5-year-old child was injured: the consequences of shelling in Krasnohorivka

In the Donetsk region, as a result of the shelling of the Russian army on Krasnohorivka, four civilians were buried under the rubble, in particular, a family with a five-year-old child. The mother died on the spot, and the child with her father and an elderly neighbor are in serious condition.
The injured people were diagnosed with mine-explosive injuries and shrapnel injuries. Now they are in the hospital, where doctors are providing the necessary assistance.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the Russian troops fired from the Grad multiple rocket launchers. Three residential buildings were damaged as a result of being hit by enemy shells. On the same day, the Russian army hit the city with mortar fire, the consequences of which are still being determined.
The prosecutor’s office opened criminal proceedings for violating the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), which is punishable by up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment. A pre-trial investigation is currently underway.
