It was not a missile attack: the Prosecutor General on the preliminary conclusions of international experts on Olenivka

The prosecutor’s office is investigating the mass murder of Ukrainian defenders who were in Russian captivity in Olenivka (Donetsk region). Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said that there are already preliminary conclusions of international experts. They claim that this is a consequence of the use of thermobaric weapons used by the Russian army.
– Regarding the mass murder of Ukrainian citizens who are prisoners of war in accordance with the norms of international humanitarian law in Olenivka, criminal proceedings were immediately initiated. I am told every three hours what is happening in this criminal proceeding.
We involved international experts. Preliminary findings indicate that the cause or method of this killing was a thermobaric weapon.
According to Prosecutor General Kostin, international experts are convinced that it was not a missile attack.
– This is definitely not rocket fire – they are sure of that. This is also confirmed by the information that is currently being processed by pretrial investigation bodies under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The investigation is trying to identify the persons involved in the mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka, but it is much more difficult, Kostin said.
– As for specific persons, the investigators have started immediate actions. They continue, but this question is more complicated. In my opinion, the priority right now is the exposure of Russian propaganda and disinformation about the possible detonation of this building by HIMARS-type missile systems.
They are trying to reduce something now. But we already have the preliminary conclusions of international experts that this was a consequence of the use of thermobaric weapons, which is used by the aggressor country.
