In the Kherson region, the Russian military massively mined the territory of the solar plant in the Bilozersky district, which was an important element of energy security before the start of the full-scale war in Ukraine.
According to the police of the Kherson region, during the occupation, the Russian military looted and damaged the station.
Currently, it cannot work fully, which is why some Ukrainians suffer from the lack of electricity and heat supply.
After the de-occupation of the territory, the workers cannot start resuming the operation of the station and the generation of the currently needed electricity, the police say.
This is explained by mass mining of the solar station, but they promise that in the near future specialists will be sent there to inspect the territory and defuse explosive objects.
