With traces of torture and gunshot wounds: burials with the remains of six people were discovered in the Kherson region

In the village of Pravdyne, Kherson region, burials with the remains of six people with traces of torture and gunshot wounds were discovered. This was stated by the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin.

– The discovered corpses were exhumed and sent for a forensic medical examination. Another 36 graves were found in the cemetery in the settlement of geologists in Kherson. There is a mass grave, where there are also the bodies of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in particular, the Military Police.

In total, during the period of occupation, morgues received about 700 bodies, of which approximately 100 were injured as a result of military operations, the identities of 12 of them have not yet been established, – he said.

DNA samples of relatives are currently being collected to identify the victims. However, sometimes there are complications because they are abroad or there is no connection with them.

– The Russian occupiers simply went mad. And quite often they committed violence against civilians, flaunting it, sending photos and videos to their relatives in Russia, posting them on social networks. But in the future, this will be a tool in the formation of the evidence base on the commission of war crimes, – noted the deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Separately, he reported on the results of the exhumation of bodies in the city of Izyum in the Kharkiv region. Yenin shared that more than 450 bodies of the dead have been removed from burial sites, the bodies of which show signs of violent death, including gunshot wounds and blast injuries.
