A plane with energy equipment worth about $13 million is heading to Ukraine from the United States military base.

This is the first tranche of US aid in the amount of $53 million, which was announced at the end of November.

Two more planes with the equipment will leave the United States this week.

– With the coming of winter, Russia is deliberately trying to freeze Ukrainians to death.

Therefore, our goal is to help Ukraine protect itself from deliberate attacks by the Russian Federation on civilian energy infrastructure, so that it does not become a humanitarian disaster, – said a high-ranking US official in a Reuters comment.

Note that two weeks ago, the United States announced that it would urgently allocate $53 million for power grid equipment to help Ukraine resist Russian attacks on its energy infrastructure.

They promised to quickly deliver the equipment to Kyiv so that Ukrainians could survive the winter.

In addition to other equipment, distribution transformers, circuit breakers and surge arresters should be included in the delivery.
