Germany will provide Ukraine with Gepard self-propelled guns: how many are we talking about?
Germany will provide Ukraine with six or seven more Gepard self-propelled artillery installations.
This was announced by the head of the defense committee of the Bundestag, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann.
According to her, Germany has already provided Ukraine with 24 self-propelled howitzers.
The representative of the Bundestag is personally in favor of sending modern Leopard and Marder tanks.
– Providing them now is simply necessary and I no longer see any reason not to do it, – said Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann.
However, the head of the defense committee of the Bundestag adds, such an initiative is still not supported by the government.
We will remind that the day before, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine called the official Berlin’s argumentation unclear as to why the decision on the transfer of Leopard 2 battle tanks to the Armed Forces, which Kyiv has repeatedly requested, has not yet been made.
