The future will be determined: the head of the European Council called the next 2-3 weeks decisive in the war in Ukraine

The coming weeks may become decisive in the full-scale war launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The events of 2023 depend on these weeks.
This was stated by the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, in an interview with the Spanish publication El Mundo.
– The next two or three weeks are decisive. What happens in 2023 and much more depends on the next few weeks. This is what will determine our future, – he said.
In this regard, Michel emphasized that Ukraine should be provided with all necessary assistance, including tanks.
– We must be with Ukraine and provide them with all the necessary support. We cannot let them down… We must give Ukraine the tanks it needs right now, – he explained.
The head of the European Council clarified that “heated debates” are taking place regarding the supply of tanks, in particular regarding their provision by Germany.
Michel said that Ukraine’s defeat in the war could become an “extremely dangerous precedent” for Europe in the future.
– There cannot be a free and safe Europe without a free and safe Ukraine, – he added.
As you know, on January 23, the ministers of foreign affairs of the EU countries will discuss further military aid to Ukraine.
Charles Michel recently paid an official visit to Kyiv, met with the leadership of Ukraine and spoke in the Verkhovna Rada. During the speech, he also emphasized that “the coming weeks and months will be decisive”, and therefore, Ukraine should receive more weapons: air defense systems, long-range missiles and ammunition, and most importantly tanks.
Charles Michel also announced that the European Union supports the peace plan of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyу, which consists of 10 points.
