Russian hackers attacked NATO websites

On Sunday, February 12, Russian hackers attacked the websites of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).
This was reported by Radio ERFT with reference to DPA.
A NATO spokeswoman said the defense alliance’s cyber experts are actively working on the incident, which affected several websites.

In particular, the hacker attack targeted the NATO Special Operations Headquarters (NSHQ) website. It was temporarily unavailable.
The Russian hacker group Killnet was named among others involved in the attack.
NATO did not provide any details about the incident. A spokeswoman for the alliance said that NATO regularly deals with cyber incidents and takes the issue of cyber security very seriously.
