German Defense Minister: Fighters are not the main task now

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius commented on the possibility of supplying fighter jets to Ukraine.
Currently, the priority task is to guarantee the safety of the airspace over Ukraine, and for this, ammunition is needed, as Pistorius stated in an interview. In the discussion about further military assistance to Ukraine, Defense Minister Boris Pistorius explained that the issue of fighter jets is not in the center of attention now.
According to Pistorius, the main task now is one: to secure the airspace over Ukraine.
This requires a functioning air defense system with sufficient ammunition.
– If the sky over Ukraine remains safe for the next three to four months, then we can talk about all further steps, – said Pistorius.
