The Japanese government imposed sanctions against 73 legal entities and 39 individuals of the Russian Federation

Japan announced the freezing of assets of 73 legal entities and 39 individuals from Russia, as well as nine individuals from Crimea, “DPR”, “LPR”, Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions.

Radio Svoboda writes about this with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

It is noted that the head of the Kalashnikov concern, Alan Lushnikov, and the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Viktor Goremykin, have been sanctioned.

The restrictions also apply to the head of the presidential department for ensuring the activities of the State Council, Oleksandr Kharychev, his deputy, Boris Rapoport, and Turpal-Ali Ibragimov, who is said to be a relative of the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. Employees of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and the computer center at the General Staff were also sanctioned.

In addition, the Ak Bars holding company, the federal dual technology center Soyuz and the Roseelectronics holding company, as well as a number of institutes and research centers related to the military-industrial complex, in particular the Physics Institute named after P. M. Lebedev.

On February 20, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida announced that Ukraine will receive a new package of financial assistance from Japan in the amount of 5.5 billion dollars.
