The first batch of MiG-29 fighter jets, which Poland promised to deliver, is already in Ukraine, the head of the Office of International Policy of the President of Poland, Marcin Pshidach, said on RMF FM.
– According to my information, this process has already been completed, that is, the transfer of this first part, – he added.
At the same time, Pshidach did not specify the number of planes. But on March 16, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced the transfer of four MiG-29s to Ukraine in the coming days.
According to the Polish mass media, the Polish army has 28 such fighters, but it is unlikely that all of them will be given to Ukraine.
In total, Ukraine will receive 33 MiG-29 aircraft from Poland and Slovakia. Slovakia will provide 13 of them. On March 23, it handed over the first four aircraft.
