A parade on Red Square in Moscow on May 9 demonstrated the problems with the equipment and strategic communication of the Russian army almost 15 months after the start of the full-scale war against Ukraine.
This was reported in the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain on May 10.
According to available data, more than 8,000 servicemen took part in the parade.
However, most of them were auxiliary, paramilitary forces and cadets from military educational institutions.
– The only personnel of the deployed formations of regular troops was a contingent of railway troops and military police, – noted in British intelligence.
The only tank in the parade was the old T-34.
The British Ministry of Defense believes that, despite significant losses in Ukraine, Russia could attract more armored vehicles.
However, the Russian authorities, the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain adds, probably refrained from this in order not to be exposed to criticism from the Russians that the parades are more important for the authorities of the Russian Federation than military actions.
