The tanks will arrive by autumn: the USA will send the first batch of Abrams tanks to Ukraine

The first batch of Abrams tanks provided by the United States of America has been approved for shipment to the territory of Ukraine. The tanks should arrive in Ukraine at the beginning of autumn.
This was stated by Doug Bush, head of the procurement department of the US Ground Forces, in a comment to foreign journalists.
– Now they must get to Europe, and then to Ukraine along with all the things that go with them. Ammunition, spare parts, fuel equipment, repair tools. You know, it’s not just the tanks, it’s the whole package that comes with it. It’s still on the way, – says Bush.
In May, the USA began training Ukrainians on tanks in Germany. According to foreign publications, 31 tanks intended for Ukraine underwent repair and preparation for shipment for several months. And recently they were officially approved for transmission.
The U.S. cut the time it usually takes to deliver tanks by deciding earlier this year to transfer older M1-A1 models instead of a more modern version of the tank.
