The United States military command positively assesses the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. There is a difference between publications in foreign media and the Pentagon’s assessment.

This was stated by Ukraine’s Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova in a commentary to journalists. She argues that there is a big difference between the assessment of the offensive in American publications and the opinions in the White House, the US State Department and the Pentagon.

US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin and Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Mark Milley gave a rather positive assessment after Ramstein’s meeting, Markarova said.

According to her, Austin and Milley understand that Ukrainian soldiers are conducting the most difficult operation since World War II, as the enemy is a very cynical aggressor.

The Ambassador stressed that the US authorities are aware of the huge success of each advance of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, despite the steadfast defence of Russian troops.
