The President of Lithuania noted that in order for Georgia to receive the status of a candidate country in the EU, it is necessary to show progress in carrying out reforms and implementing the recommendations of the European Union, especially in such issues as political depolarization of society, judicial reform, de-oligarchization and media freedom.

The official authorities in Georgia report that they comply with all the sanctions imposed by Western countries against the Russian Federation. However, Georgia itself does not plan to introduce restrictions against Russia.
