On the territory of the Russian Federation, the mobilization process has not stopped and has been going on for over a year. Every day, Russia covertly mobilizes to replenish losses in Ukraine and form new units.

This was stated by Vadym Skibitskyi, representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, commenting on the mobilization campaign in Russia.

According to him, the next autumn conscription has now begun in Russia. The aggressor country has set a goal to transfer all those mobilized to the Russian Armed Forces to a contractual basis. This process is carried out by various methods, including threats.

However, in fact, the number of the Russian Armed Forces has not increased significantly during this time, according to the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. During the first period of large-scale mobilization, which began in October 2022, the Russians mobilized more than 300,000 soldiers.

According to the representative of the GUR, Russia is ready for a large wave of mobilization: all lists have been updated, everything has been transferred to electronic records, legal requirements and the Criminal Code have been significantly tightened in terms of punishment for evading military service and desertion.

In his opinion, the Russian presidential elections to be held next spring also have an impact on the absence of a mass mobilization call. According to Skibitsky, this is a complex process that affects the socio-political situation in the Russian Federation.
