This is your chance – Reznikov appealed to the residents of Donbas

The Minister of Defence of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov addressed the residents of Donetsk, Luhansk, Makiivka, Horlivka, Yenakiieve, Alchevsk, Chervonyi Luch, Krasnodon and other cities of the Ukrainian Donbas.

The head of the defence department assured that Ukraine still considers them to be its citizens and gave several recommendations on how to counteract the occupying authorities.

Those, who did not commit crimes, were assured that nothing threatened them.

– We will deal with some disagreements later. Our whole country is different Ukrainians, we can afford to be different, because we are a free people. But we are united,” – said Oleksii Reznikov.

First of all, he urged to evade forced mobilization in any way in order to save lives.

– If you were taken into Russian troops anyway, try to go over to the side of the Ukrainian army as soon as possible.

All who have already handed over their weapons – are in safe. We will deal with all the formalities. The main thing is to avoid the irreparable and save life.

If you have committed a crime, but want to be saved, run. Or give up. Only very quickly, – advised the Minister of Defence.

According to him, repentance will be taken into account.

Those who surrender with their equipment or help take a Russian officer prisoner can expect a mitigation of punishment.

– And it will be a fair trial, as opposed to kangaroo court, that they tried to accustom you over the course of eight years,” – the Head of the Defence Department emphasized.

Those who have committed crimes will have the opportunity to return to normal life after serving their sentence.

– We need working hands to restore Donbas after it has been cleared of invaders. And you are needed by your families, your loved ones. This is your chance, – Oleksii Reznikov assured.

Separately, the Minister of Defence addressed the mothers, wives and girlfriends of “those who may fall into the clutches of Russian invaders”:

– Hide your loved ones. Shelter from trouble. They will thank you later and you will rejoice together. Do not believe Russian propaganda – it brings only grief and death. Listen to your heart.

Ukraine will ensure the peace and well-being of all our regions, which are now tormented by war. Together we will make it faster. Remember, time is running out.

After the atrocities of Russia in Mariupol, Kharkiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, our warriors are set to burn all the interventionists and their accomplices with hot iron. Don’t be among them. Do not make mistake, – Oleksii Reznikov said at the end of the appeal.

On March 22, the 27th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine began.

During this time, the enemy lost about 15.3 thousand personnel.
