Chornobayivka’s “phenomenon”: Arestovych explained why the enemy was returning to the airfield despite the attacks
Russian troops are constantly returning to the airfield in Chornobayivka (Kherson region), despite the fact that they have been repeatedly attacked by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The day before, on March 21, the Armed Forces defeated the enemy there for the seventh time.
Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, explained the reasons for such a “Chornobayivka’s phenomenon” on a telethon on Ukrainian channels.
According to him, the enemy has accumulated a large group of troops in the direction of the temporarily occupied Crimea. At the same time, there are few opportunities to transfer these forces to the unoccupied territory of Ukraine.
They have accumulated a huge grouping from the Crimea in this direction. And it is possible to transfer this grouping to the right bank, where Mykolayiv and Odesa are, only through two bridges: the first is the Antonivsky bridge near Kherson, and the second is New Kakhovka. This is a “bottleneck”: there are a huge number of them, and they can only move by capillary action. And no matter how you hide in the open steppe, we still find them, – said Arestovych.
He added that the enemy is also trying to accumulate a helicopter grouping to transfer cargo to russian troops and to strike at Ukrainian troops. That is why the invaders need an airfield in Chornobayivka.
A helicopter can land where you want and fly where you want only into the movies. In fact, it needs both topographic reference and airfield support. Therefore, they have to choose an airfield. They try to move around this airfield so as not to stand still, but they can’t help but use it. There is such a knot, – said Arestovych.
He assured that Ukrainian troops will continue to strike at enemy groups at the airfield.
Russian invaders use the airfield as their command post and gathering place for aircraft.
