The West is united in defending democracy. Biden goes on a European tour
US President Joe Biden is on a European tour to meet with a number of allies and work together to support Ukraine in the war against Russia. He announced this on his Twitter.
The first stop for the White House chief will be Belgium. There he will meet with NATO allies, G7 and EU leaders.
The US head of state will then travel to Poland to hold a bilateral meeting with President Andrzej Duda and discuss Russia’s humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.
During this trip, we will make it clear that the West is united in our defense of democracy. Putin thought he would divide us, but we are stronger now than ever in recent history. We support Ukraine and guarantee that Putin will pay a high economic price for his actions, Biden tweeted.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macrock spoke with Putin about the ceasefire for an hour. According to a statement from the Elysee Palace, no agreement has been reached.
