128 children died at the hands of Russian invaders in Ukraine
In Ukraine, 128 children became victims of the armed aggression of the Russian invaders, more than 172 were injured.
This is reported in the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
The most affected children were in Kyiv region – 64, Kharkiv region – 43, Donetsk region – 43, Chernihiv region – 32, Mykolaiv region – 24, in the capital – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15, Kherson region – 15 and Sumy region – 14.
The body of 11-year-old gymnast Kateryna was found under the rubble of a house shelled by the enemy in Mariupol. The girl has repeatedly won major competitions.
On March 11, 2022, during the evacuation of civilians in the village of Peremoha, Brovary district, Kyiv region, the Russian military fired on a convoy – a 13-year-old boy was fatally wounded.
– On March 13, 2022 in Bucha, Kyiv region, servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation ruthlessly shot a car in which a family, mother and two children aged 4 and 9 died, – said the the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
Nine children from Mariupol and Sievierodonetsk were hospitalized to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital with severe injuries as a result of enemy shelling.
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine also reported that 566 educational institutions were damaged by enemy bombings, 73 of which were completely destroyed, including more than 230 schools and 155 kindergartens.
The most damaged were in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv regions and in the city of Kyiv. More than 40 other institutions for children were destroyed: hospitals, art schools, sports facilities, libraries.
Earlier it was reported that Rubizhne was fired by the enemy with phosphorus bombs – two children were killed.
