Poland will not ask the EU for money to support Ukrainian refugees and will not forcibly redistribute them to other European countries. This was stated in an interview with Polska Times by Deputy Prime Minister and leader of Poland’s ruling Law and Justice Party Jaroslav Kaczynski.
According to him, the first rule of Poland now is the principle “he who wants to stay here, he stays, and when he wants to leave, he goes.”
And the second rule – we do not go on request. Of course, we feel that we deserve some help, but we will not ask. We are a country in excellent condition, more than three times richer than in the early 1990s, and more than three times richer than Ukraine, per capita, – said Kaczynski.
He also added that his proposal to bring peacekeepers to Ukraine is perfectly legal and in line with international law.
