135 Children Killed By Russian Invaders In Ukraine – Prosecutor General’s Office
135 children have so far been killed in Russia’s full-scale against Ukraine, another 184 have been injured. The figures were reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office.
The highest numbers of child casualties are reported in Kyiv Oblast at 64, Kahrkiv Oblast at 44, Donetsk Oblast at 46, Chernihiv Oblast at 34, Mykolaiv Oblast at 25, Zaporizhia Oblast at 26, the capital city of Kyiv at 16, Zhytomyr Oblast at 15, Kherson Oblast at 15, and Sumy Oblast at 14.
The fierce fighting in Rubizhne, Luhansk Oblast, has resulted in the deaths of two children. On March 24, two children, aged 6 and 13, were injured by in shelling by Russian forces of the village of Novomykhaivilvka, Maryinka District, Donetsk Oblast.
Also on March 24, three teenagers, aged 13, 14, and 15, were injured in land mine explosion in the village of Obilne, Melitopol District, Zaporizhia Oblast. They were rushed to the Melitopol hospital. One of them is in intensive care in critical condition.
The Prosecutor General’s Office also reported that daily bombing and shelling had resulted in buildings of 566 educational institutions being damaged, of which 73 had been destroyed completely.
The buildings of more than 230 schools and 155 kindergartens had been damaged or destroyed from Russian shelling. The situation is worst in Donetsk, Kharkiv, Myskolaiv, Symu, Kyiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv Oblasts, as well as Kyiv.
Also, since Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine began, the buildings of more than 40 children’s institutions have been damaged, including healthcare institutions, art schools, sports facilities, and libraries.
