A complete evacuation from Mariupol is needed – the mayor

It is necessary to organize a full evacuation from Mariupol. The mayor Vadym Boychenko reported about it.
Quite a lot of people are in Mariupol, over 100 thousand. According to our estimates – about 160 thousand. It is impossible to live in the city, because there is nothing at all: no light, no heat, no water, no communication. Our main mission is to do what we have to do. We need a complete evacuation of Mariupol, – he said on the air of the telethon UA Together.
The blockade of Mariupol has been going on since the beginning of March. Putin’s invading forces are ruthlessly destroying the city, killing locals, firing missiles at homes, hospitals, and all infrastructure. They do not allow humanitarian aid with necessary medicines and products to be supplied to the city.
Mariupol residents are trying to leave the blocked city by their own vehicles through the green corridors. However, not all residents have this opportunity.
The day before, French media reported that France, Greece and Turkey were ready to help evacuate people from Mariupol.
