The Russian occupiers are actively looting the population in the Chernihiv region. This was announced on the air of the telethon by the head of the Chernihiv RMA Vyacheslav Chaus.
According to him, there are no bridges in Chernihiv today, the city is completely cut off.
The city is without light, without heat, without water, without gas supply. However, it has certain reserves, and a cool team of volunteers provides Chernihiv residents with food and water, – Vyacheslav Chaus said.
In addition, the enemy does not agree on humanitarian corridors for Chernihiv.
Vyacheslav Chaus also states that we should not believe the words of the occupiers that they are allegedly reducing the offensive in Kyiv and Chernihiv. For example, last night the Russian enemy continued shelling Chernihiv.
They “confirmed” the reduction of their activity in the Chernihiv direction by continuous shelling of Chernihiv and the region, – Chaus said.
As for the situation in the region, the worst is in those settlements where enemy troops are stationed – near Chernihiv, and several settlements in Nizhyn and Pryluky districts.
There is a critical situation. The enemy sits on the heads of our people, and people sit in basements. And the enemy takes out all the food, – Vyacheslav Chaus said.
According to him, there are several units of the Russian army near Chernihiv, which are cut off from supplies, so they are engaged in looting.
They even take out kettles and carpets and put them in their armored personnel carriers, – Vyacheslav Chaus said.
On March 29, another round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia took place in Istanbul. The Ukrainian delegation presented its official offers regarding a new system of security guarantees for Ukraine.
At the same time, the head of the Russian delegation, Volodymyr Medinskyy, stated that the Russian occupiers had decided to “radically” reduce hostilities in the direction of Chernihiv and Kyiv regions.
