Russia began to engage troops from Transnistria – the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Russian Federation has begun to engage units of Russian troops in the Transnistrian region of Moldova.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has information on the intensification of such actions.

According to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia intends to use these units for provocations and demonstrations on the border with Ukraine.

The General Staff also notes the redeployment of Russian troops and units of the so-called Transnistrian-Moldavian Republic.

– This may indicate preparation for demonstrating readiness for the offensive and, possibly, hostilities against Ukraine, – said the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In addition, from April 4 to May 23, 2022 military training with reservists will be held in the Russian Federation.

This decision was made by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation yesterday, on April 1.
