Russian attack on Luhansk region: at least one wounded and houses destroyed

On April 17, the Russian military attacked Severodonetsk, Novodruzhesk, and Kreminna in the Luhansk region.

As a result of enemy attacks, at least one person was wounded and five houses were destroyed.

On the night of April 17, four apartment buildings in Severodonetsk caught fire after being hit by Russian shells.

Rescuers arrived on the scene as soon as the Russian military ceased fire.

– Many apartments were on fire. Information about the victims is being clarified, – said the head of the regional military administration Serhiy Haidai.

Another house was destroyed by the enemy in Novodruzhesk. Firefighters managed to evacuate the homeowner there.

Already in the morning of April 17, the Russian army struck Kremenna with artillery. The wounded man was hospitalized with injuries of moderate severity.

The losses caused to the housing stock are currently being established.

During the day in Luhansk and Donetsk regions, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 10 enemy attacks, destroying:

• 15 tanks,
• three artillery systems,
• 24 units of armored vehicles,
• 10 units of enemy vehicles.

Air defense units shot down:

• four Orlan-10 drones,
• two cruise missiles.
