At the hands of Russian invaders in Ukraine killed 213 children and wounded more than 380

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, 602 children have been injured. According to the official data of the Prosecutor General’s Office, as of the morning of April 24, 213 children were killed and more than 389 were injured.

However, these figures are not final, as the exact number of dead cannot be determined at the sites of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

The most affected children were in Donetsk region – 122, Kyiv region – 114, Kharkiv region – 91, Chernihiv region – 66, Kherson region – 44, Mykolaiv region – 43, Luhansk region – 37, Zaporizhia region – 27, Sumy region – 17, Kyiv city – 16, Zhytomyr region – 15.

On April 23, a mother with a 3-month-old child died as a result of enemy shelling of a residential area in Odessa. Also on April 23 it became known about the death of two girls – young actresses of the Donetsk Regional Drama Theater. The children died due to the shelling of Mariupol by Russian troops.

At the same time, on April 22, a 17-year-old boy was killed in a shelling of civilian infrastructure in the village of Kamyanske, Zaporizhia Oblast.

In addition, on April 22, the body of a 16-year-old boy with shrapnel wounds was found during the recording of criminal offenses committed by the occupiers in the Bucha district of Kyiv region.

In total, 1,500 educational institutions have been damaged since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine as a result of daily bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces, and 102 of them have been completely destroyed.
