The United States has approved the sale of $ 165 million worth of ammunition to Ukraine

On Monday, April 25, the US State Department approved foreign military sales of “non-standard ammunition” worth $ 165 million to Ukraine. This was reported by CNN.
It is also reported that the Agency for Security and Defense Cooperation announced the sale to Congress on April 24.
According to the publication, the approval of the aid was announced by the Ukrainian authorities during the visit to Kyiv of the US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and the US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.
A senior Defense Ministry official told reporters that it was ammunition for weapons produced by the former Soviet Union, due to the fact that Ukraine has many such systems.
– The proposed sale will increase Ukraine’s ability to withstand current and future threats by maintaining the operational readiness of its forces, – said in a press release from the State Department.
The announced sale is just one of several ways the United States is providing military assistance to Ukraine.
On Thursday, US President Joe Biden authorized another $ 800 million in military aid to support Ukraine at the expense of the President.
Ukraine has invited the purchase of various shots of non-standard ammunition.
