Britain will call on the allies to send fighter jets to Ukraine
British Foreign Secretary Liz Trass will call on Western allies to provide Ukraine with warplanes and other heavy weapons.
This is stated in a press release from the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As it is specified, Trass will announce the need to “double the stakes” on the support of the Ukrainian armed forces in its programmatic foreign policy speech at the Madison House in London.
– We cannot be calm when the fate of Ukraine remains on the line, – says Liz Trass. – And let’s be clear: if Putin succeeds, there will be countless sufferings and terrible consequences for the whole world across Europe. We will never feel safe again. Therefore, we must be ready to help in the long run and double our support for Ukraine.
She called on Britain’s allies to “dig deep into reserves and increase production” to provide Ukraine with heavy weapons, tanks and aircraft.
Ukraine’s global security architecture, which was designed to guarantee peace and prosperity, needs a new approach, – the British foreign Secretary is going to announce .
It will be recalled that on Tuesday, April 26, Germany promised to supply anti-aircraft tanks to Ukraine, while Britain and Canada also announced that they would supply more heavy weapons.
