Russia failed to destabilize the situation in Odesa on the anniversary of the May 2 tragedy – State Bureau of Investigation

Russia failed to destabilize the situation in Odesa on the anniversary of the May 2 tragedy. The State Bureau of Investigation detained 12 saboteurs.
Employees of the State Bureau of Investigation, together with employees of the National Police, conducted a large-scale special operation to identify the organizers and perpetrators of possible sabotage and provocations on the anniversary of the tragedy.
They checked dozens of people among the criminals and possible collaborators who, under the leadership of the Russian special services, could destabilize the situation in the region.
The State Bureau of Investigation identified and detained 12 people who are suspected of preparing sabotage, protests and riots in the Odesa region. Also, according to operational information, the detainees worked on inciting residents of Odesa to riots.
The saboteurs had an arsenal of weapons and explosives. A large number of machine guns, grenades, pistols and cartridges were kept in the private house of one of the detainees. In addition, flags with communist symbols, medals, anti-Ukrainian books and propaganda brochures were found in their possession.
According to the plans of the enemy, the saboteurs were to implement their criminal plan on the anniversary of the tragic events – May 2. But investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation have already initiated criminal proceedings against them for high treason (Part 1, Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Before the game, a march took place, in which fans of both teams took part, along with Euromaidan supporters. But near Hretska Square they were attacked by a group of local anti-maidanists. Participants of the clashes threw stones, firecrackers and stun grenades at each other.
By late afternoon, not only stones were used, but also improvised explosive devices, Molotov cocktails, firearms, traumatic and pneumatic weapons.
