Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a counteroffensive in the Kharkiv and Izyum directions – Zaluzhnyi

The Ukrainian army launched a counteroffensive in the Kharkiv region, pushing back Russian troops from there. We are talking about the Izyum and Kharkov directions.
This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi following negotiations with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley. It concerned a full-scale war in Ukraine.
During the conversation, Zaluzhnyi told his American colleague about the counter-offensive actions of Ukrainian soldiers, as well as about the general situation at the front.
According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, fierce battles are now taking place in the Luhansk region.
– Traditionally, I informed my American colleague about the operational situation. In particular, about moving the main efforts of the enemy to the Luhansk direction, where fierce battles continue in the area of Popasna, Kreminna and Torske. And also about the transition of the defense forces of Ukraine to counter-offensive operations in the Kharkiv and Izyum directions, – said Zaluzhnyi.
In recent weeks, the Ukrainian military liberated a number of settlements in the Kharkiv region from Russian troops: Ruska Lozova, Momotove, Kutuzivka, Verkhnya Rohanka and others.
The Pentagon estimates that Russian troops in eastern Ukraine have a number of problems: poor command, low morale and imperfect logistics. Therefore, the Russian Federation has achieved minimal progress during the offensive in the Donbass. And in the Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian army pushed back the invaders about 40 km east of Kharkiv.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, the personnel of the Russian army has decreased by approximately 24.7 thousand. In addition, the Ukrainian military has destroyed hundreds of units of enemy equipment: in particular, 1,092 tanks and 196 aircraft.
According to the General Staff, due to significant losses, part of the Russian military has already refused further participation in hostilities on the territory of Ukraine.
