Russia’s plans for May 9: Russians will not be able to reach the borders of Luhansk Region – RMA

The Russian invaders will not manage to reach the border of Luhansk Region according to their plans by May 9.

The head of the regional military administration Serhiy Haidai announced this on the air of the marathon of national TV channels.

According to him, the Russians intend to announce the capture and entry into the region’s borders in Severodonetsk.

After the occupation of part of the region in 2014, this city became the regional center of the Ukrainian-controlled Luhansk Region.

– That is why Severodonetsk is so important for them. But all the plans they set for themselves before May 9, as we see, they did not and will not be able to implement, – says Sergei Haidai.

Since the morning of May 8, shooting in the region has been going on in the direction of Voevodovka, Belogorovka and Popasna.

From the last settlement, the Ukrainian military had to move to stronger, pre-prepared positions.

The head of the OVA stresses that this was a forced move, because for more than two months of shelling with bombs, rockets, mines, and artillery, the city had been razed to the ground.

Fighting continues for Voyevodka. After heavy shelling, the occupiers come into this village and are driven out by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The situation is also difficult in Toshkovka, Yekaterinovka and Zolote-4, which are all part of the Gorskaya community.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 74 days.
