Chechen military volunteers which fight for Ukraine have taken away the Solntsepyok system from the occupiers

On May 9th, the Sheikh Mansour Chechen battalion that is fighting for Ukraine alongside the AFU has successfully taken the TOS-1A the Multiple Rocket launcher nicknamed Solntsepyok away from Russian troops as a military trophy. This heavy artillery system is considered a ‘pride’ of the Russian regular army.

This news about another victory over the invaders has been shared by the Department of the Strategic communications of the AFU.

It is not specified, which part of the frontline exactly our military got the Solntsepyok from, nor the losses among the rucists troops are being mentioned.

The enemy is firing uncontrolled missiles in the caliber of 220 mm using this heavy multiple rocket launcher system TOS-1A.

The predecessor of the TOS-1A Solntsepyok system was the TOS-1A Buratino launcher: it was widely used by Russia’s forces in their war in Chechnya.
