EU and Hungary made progress on the sixth sanction package – the European commission

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen stated, that the EU member countries including Hungary managed to make progress on the sixth sanction package.
– This evening’s discussion with PM Viktor Orban was helpful to clarify issues related to sanctions and energy security. We made progress, but further work is needed, – Ursula von der Leyen wrote on her Twitter account on Monday, May 9th.
She also added that she is going to convene a VC with regional players to strengthen regional cooperation on oil infrastructure.
We remind, that Hungary is the main opposition, that is obstructing the EU to implement the sixth sanction package, which includes the oil embargo. The country’s parliament called to guarantee energy security for them.
