As of the second half of May, almost 4,000 Ukrainian men deported by the occupiers from Mariupol are already in the filtration camps in the Donetsk region.

The ukrainian parliamentary human rights commissioner Lyudmila Denisova announced this on her social networks on May 21. She stressed that the rate of deportation of Ukrainians of conscription age to the temporarily occupied territories of Donetsk is growing.

– Now, according to approximate data, there are almost 4 thousand men in such camps in Bezimenne and Kazatskiy, Novoazovsk district of Donetsk region. Their number has doubled in the last two weeks alone. None of the detainees in the camps have returned,” wrote Lyudmila Denisova.

According to the Ombudsman’s Office, the men are in appalling conditions, sleeping on the floor, suffocated and unsanitary, tortured and abused.
