Russia has become a state of war crimes. With its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, it inspires other potential aggressors.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyi said it during a speech at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

– Please look at the building of the former Russian house in Davos. It has been turned into a house of Russian war crimes. It is an example of their transformation, of what Russia has done to itself by becoming a war crimes state. And of what it brings to the world, inspiring other potential aggressors.

Instead of prosperous, peaceful cities – black ruins, instead of regular trade – mined sea and blocked ports in Ukraine. Instead of tourism – closed skies and thousands of Russian bombs and cruise missiles. This is how the world will look like if humanity misses this turning point, – the president explained.

On May 19, members of the European Parliament voted for a resolution on the need to establish a special tribunal to condemn Russia’s war crimes against Ukraine.
