How Kyiv changed during the war: Klitschko showed footage of the city

On May 29, residents of the capital celebrate Kyiv Day. This year the city is 1,540 years old.
On the holiday occasion, the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko recorded a video showing what Kyiv looks like during the war. He also congratulated all Kyiv residents on this holiday.
– Kyiv. Ancient and modern, cozy and energetic. Our city has stood on the hills of the Dnieper for 1,540 years! Proud, unconquered, and beautiful. Together we make him even better because the soul of our city is its people. Happy birthday, Kyiv! – Klitschko said in a video address.
The capital mayor released a video showing military Kyiv and how it has changed over three months.
In particular, the footage shows how the monument under the Arch of Friendship of Peoples in the center of the capital, which was installed as a symbol of the so-called reunification of Ukraine and Russia, is dismantled and how architectural monuments are protected from possible threats and houses burned by enemy missile strikes.
