The International Legion of Defence of Ukraine reported the deaths of four foreign nationals from Germany, Australia, France, and the Netherlands.

According to the press service of the Foreign Legion, foreigners were killed in battles with Russian invaders.

-We want to remember and honor the memory of our fallen brothers who went to Ukraine to join the bravest of the brave and fight side by side with the defenders of Ukraine, – the statement said.

The Foreign Legion writes that the fallen soldiers fought to defend Ukraine’s sovereignty, fought to show the enemy that the values ​​of freedom and democracy that the civilized world now defends together cannot and will not be destroyed by missiles or artillery.

– We lost our brothers in battle, but their courage, memory, and heritage will forever inspire us. The Ukrainian people and the Armed Forces of Ukraine pay tribute to the self-sacrifice of foreign heroes who came to protect the Ukrainian people from this barbaric invasion and protect freedom and democracy everywhere, the statement said.

According to the Foreign Legion, Ronald Vogelaar, Michael O’Neill, Bjorn Benjamin Clavis, and Wilfrid Blerio were killed.

– There are no words to express our gratitude for their service and absolute sacrifice. They are unsung heroes who came here to defend the values they believed in and to stand up against tyranny, – the statement said.

In early March, the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a website for foreign nationals who want to join the International Defense Legion of Ukraine.
