Humanitarian corridor from Severodonetsk: where the occupiers want to take people

Евакуація з Сєвєродонецька – яка небезпека від РФ чатує на жителів Сєвєродонецька

The Russian military wants to evacuate people from Severodonetsk, Luhansk region, deep into the occupied territories – to the town of Svatove.

This assumption was made by representatives of the intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense.

They came to this conclusion due to the fact that the opportunities to leave the city are limited due to the destruction of bridges.

Watching now

 – If civilians do not accept the occupiers’ offer to leave the city through their humanitarian corridor, the Russians can obviously say that they do not see the difference between people and military goals in the area, – the British Defense Ministry added.

The Russians have been unilaterally spreading statements about the opening of humanitarian corridors from Severodonetsk since June 14.

In British intelligence, on the other hand, such a mechanism is considered by Russia to be a manipulation of the battlefield and the imposition of forced displacement.

As for the situation at the front, the British Defense Ministry speculates that over the past two days, Russia may have resumed efforts to advance south of Izyum to go deeper into the Donetsk region and cover the Severodonetsk pocket from the north.

It should be noted that it does not seem possible to count how many civilians are currently in Severodonetsk.

According to the head of the city military-civil administration Oleksandr Stryuk, before the beginning of the acute phase of street fighting in the regional center there were about 10 thousand people.

The full-scale war in Ukraine has been going on for 115 days.

The situation in the cities can be followed on an interactive map of hostilities in Ukraine.
