British intelligence has named an important target for Russia to advance in Donetsk region
Capturing the E40 highway connecting Donetsk and Kharkiv is likely an important target for Russian invaders attempting to advance in the Donetsk region.
The British Defense Intelligence Service reported this.
– Russian artillery continues to strike the area of Slovyansk in the Donbas from the site of Izyum in the north and Lysychansk in the east,” the intelligence said.
According to their data, the occupiers probably made several other small territorial advances in the area of Popasna.
In addition, fighting from the Izyum area continues to concentrate along the direction of the main E40 road.
– Control of the E40 highway connecting Donetsk and Kharkiv is likely to be an important target for Russia trying to advance in the Donetsk region, British intelligence added.

As a reminder, ISW analysts believe that the Russian authorities want to annex, in addition to the Donbas and southern Ukraine, the Kharkiv region.
